Rafting on the Tigris against the Ilisu Dam (16.05.2009)

On the 16th of May 2009 the Initiative to Keep Hasankeyf Alive organized a rafting tour on the Tigris against the Ilisu dam project. Around 30 young people went with boats from the village Suceken to Hasankeyf, a distance of 12 km. In Hasankeyf people, the Initiative and two other civil organizations received these young activists with a small celebration and music.
