http://www.thenewanatolian.com/tna-23230.html State Hydraulic Works (DSi) has issued a final warning for the undertaker consortium at Ilisu Dam & HEPP project to start the construction by March 30, at latest.
EkoTürk correspondent reports that, DSi has held a last meeting with representatives of export credit agencies from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and demanded them to release their credit commitments, as these agencies raising new conditions for the project.
The DSi has stated that if the agencies do not provide credits until the deadline, a new international tendering process will be started.
The project had been awarded by the State Hydraulic Works (DSi) at a total price of EUR 1.2 billion to a Turkish-German-Swiss-Austrian consortium led by Nurol insaat ve Ticaret A.S. and including partners "Cengiz insaat San. Tic. A.S, Çelikler insaat A.S., Ed. Zublin A.G., Stucky Ltd., Temelsu, Va Tech Hydro Gmbh&Co, and Alstom companies on a full foreign credit financing basis.
According to current financing plans, official state financing agencies of Germany, Switzerland, and Austria would provide a total of EUR 400 mln credits toward the project, while the rest would be provided in the form a syndication loan with participation of domestic and foreign private banks.
