Dear All,
After Zeugma, Halfeti, Hallançemi and Samsat Hasankeyf is faced with the danger of being sacrificed for the sake of few kW energy. We know that no civilized humankind would accept the destruction of 12 thousand year-old Hasankeyf. With this hope and faith we are leading a struggle for the sustenance of Hasankeyf and Tigris Valley
Considering our past and future, we strength our struggle day by day against projects such as Ilısu Dam, which would estrange ourselves from our past by destroying our environment, historical and cultural heritage and memories. The support, that you give to keep Hasankeyf and other values alive, is vital. In this frame with the national and international participators we decided to continue the project called "one thousand faces, one thousand screams" that started in October 2009. The ones who want to participate the project should sent a photograph as in the example plus their full names, professions, nationality and mail addresses and send it to batmanhasankeyfgirisimi@gmail.com adresses.
It is easy! Write your note for Hasankeyf in your own language and send it to us. It’s really vital to give support to keep Hasankeyf and other values alive. In this context, we decided to continue the campaign “One thousand faces, one thousand screams” which started in October through the internet in order to receive national and international support and participation.
