Activity of Community Volunteers (TOG – Toplum Gönüllüleri) in Hasankeyf between the 18^th and 20^th April

 

Not only young people working within the structures of TOG will participate. All young people in the region can take part too.

Morning and midday: Arrivals

 

17.00 Theatre: TOG Theatre group at the Dicle University of Diyarbakir: “We are neighbours”, 60 min.

 

19.00 Dinner

 

20.00 Presentation about social responsibility and TOG

09.00 Presentation: “What is cultural heritage? What is the situation Turkey?”, with Ahmet Tuncay Karacorlu, the speaker of the Initiative Life for Natural and Cultural Environment, the volunteer Ali Alioglu (about Hasankeyf and Ilisu Project) and an inhabitant from Hasankeyf

11.30 Discussion: What can we do to protect our cultural heritage in our environment?

14.00 Workshops by young people about Hasankeyf and cultural heritage

 

15.00 Fieldwork: The young people will come together with the inhabitants of Hasankeyf and collect information from them about their life, stories/novels, photographs etc.

10.00 Fair on Cultural Heritage: Young people who come from different regions of Turkey will present their cultural heritage with stands. The fair will be close to the Tigris River and will be open for everybody.

13.00 Cleanup Hasankeyf: Young people will walk through Hasankeyf and clean up, which has a not earned status, from garbage.
